This is a section that I plan on ticking off after each event, so 9 to 17 on the list are;
- Meet a Rhino, feed if possible
- Attend a candlelight concert
- Attend a ball
- Go to an Afternoon Tea
- See a ballet
- Dance in the rain
- See a game of Rugby at Twickenham
- Go to an Ice Hockey game
- See the MotoGP at Silverstone
Some of these I know I’ll likely do solo, but this is the section I’d prefer to do with friends.
Meet a Rhino
They’re my favourite animals, and I think there are a few places in the UK that offer Rhino feeding experiences, but I don’t want to just jump in and buy an experience without properly researching the place first and making sure that they’re ethical and the money I pay will actually be put towards keeping them safe and happy.
Attend a candlelight concert
We’ve all seen the adverts of the quartet surrounded by thousands of LED candles. I’ve been suckered in and I want to go, but I feel that this will be one I’d feel a bit lonely going to solo, so now to track down a music loving friend to go with.
Attend a ball
Fantasy Balls are popping up all over the place, dramatic dresses and elf ears and wings. A place full of nerdy people like me just wanting to have a good time and I’m here for it.
Go to an afternoon tea
Again, I could go solo, but this is an experience that I want to enjoy with a specific friend who also hasn’t been.
See a ballet
I know absolutely nothing about ballet other than going to some classes in a tiny run down studio when I was 4. Thirty years later and I want to experience the full glory of professionals showing how its done.
Dance in the rain
I’m giving in to that RomCom dream of dancing on cobblestone streets like I don’t have a care in the world.
See a game of Rugby at Twickenham
Rugby is about the only sport I can keep up with, and I’ve been to a few matches including seeing Scotland Vs New Zealand in Edinburgh, so the plan is to go to the 6 Nations at Twickenham at some point. Rugby is best with friends, yes?
Go to an Ice Hockey Game
I have friends that play, I have no excuse. Time to wrap up warm and go to the boy aquarium.
See the MotoGP at Silverstone
I used to go to the British Superbikes with my dad every year when I was younger, but I haven’t been able to recently after moving away. Now, I’ve actually managed to start this plan and I’m going to see the MotoGP at Silverstone in 2026!
